Since 2007, Creative Director, Adam Delbridge, has created health and political campaigns for the New South Wales Nurses' and midwives association. These have included influential campaigns against WorkChoices during the 2007 NSW State and Federal elections.
He has also worked on campaigns for nurse-to-patient ratios in NSW public hospitals.
The New South Wales Nurses' Association (NSWNA) needed a campaign that would place pressure on the State Government to stop privatising hospitals.
Research revealed the most potent angle was to link their plans for privacy with an 'Americanised' style health system.
OUTCOME
A co-ordinated campaign that involved pressure from the Nurses, supported by our communication campaign, was crucial in the Government backing down on its initial plan to privatise 5 regional and rural hospitals in NSW.
The right numbers of nurses that are assigned to look after patients is one of the most important issues the Nurses association fights for. In many instances, 1 nurse can be looking after up to 10 patients at a time.
We developed a TVC that ran statewide on all networks as well digital channels.
OUTCOME
This campaign was credited for the Governments decision to put on an extra 5000 nurses as part of their election pledge.
